The Delft Design for Values (DDFV) Institute strives for responsible innovation by incorporating moral and social values in the development of technologies, services and businesses through their design processes.
DDFV is the portal and booster of Design for Values research at Delft University of Technology. The institute aims at increasing the visibility of the Delft University of Technology as a major partner in the Design for Values debate and implementation, and at intensifying collaborations with other universities and industry, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
We envision a 21st century in which design is centered on moral and social values through three main focus. First, embodying values in design and new technologies, second, understand the impact of design on the values of users, and, third, avoid technology rejection due to a mismatch with societal values of users or society.
